Sport Relief at Ubley! posted by Rachel 9/4/18

On Thursday 22nd March, Ubley School took part in Sport Relief 2018. Each class took it in turns to run around the playground and back garden for 20 minutes. Whilst we ran we were allowed to ring bells or bang inflatable tubes together. I chose to ring bells at first then, near the end, I changed to the inflatable tubes! During the last minute of our time, we all ran to get as many steps in as possible. At the end my pedometer said I had done 5,528 steps. I was so proud of myself! In the end our class managed a total of 168,000 steps! Altogether, the whole school completed 326,904 steps - that is a lot of steps! I am so proud of myself, my class and our whole school. Well done Ubley!

New Playground Craze! posted by H.H 12/3/18

Finger boarding is a brand new hobby. It is a mini skateboard which fits in your hand. You use your fingers as feet, like you would on a real skateboard. It is a great hobby because you won't hurt yourself, like you could on a real skateboard! You can play with it in shops, the playground and anywhere. People are enjoying playing with these at Ubley.

Fox Class enjoying a new novel! posted by Mrs.B 12/3/18

We have started reading Tom's Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce. We have found it exciting so far to think about the magic garden behind the door and the mysterious clock which strikes 13! Tom, the main character, has now seen four children playing in the garden - but can they see him? We will continue reading this week to find out!
